Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg to Take Two Months of Paternity Leave

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says he'll take two months off work on paternity leave when his daughter is born.
"Studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families," Zuckerberg said in a post on Friday. "At Facebook we offer our US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year."

Zuckerberg also posted a photo of an empty stroller alongside his moppy-haired dog Beast.
"Every day things are getting a little more real for us, and we're excited to start this next stage in our lives," he wrote.
Zuckerberg, 31, and his wife Priscilla Chan, 30, announced on July 31 that they were expecting their first child. Zuckerberg also revealed that Chan has had three miscarriages in their previous attempts to have a child. The couple have been married since 2012.
Chan, a pediatrician at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, hasn't publicly divulged how long she plans to be away from work.
Zuckerberg didn't say who would be in charge during his extended absence though Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg is second-in-command on the executive team.
